Steve Jones, Chief Executive

Steve has worked in housing for 30+ years across the UK including Anglesey, Sheffield, and in Scotland, after gaining a housing degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

He is Chief Executive of Tai Ceredigion, which he helped establish in 2009 to take over and improve the 2227 homes from Ceredigion County Council. Prior to joining Tai Ceredigion, Steve was Group Director of Community Services for Pennaf Housing Group, a large (5000+ homes) RSL in North Wales. He has recently been a voluntary Board member of Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru, and also a Board member of Community Housing Cymru. Steve is still a voluntary Board member of Digartref Ynys Mon Board, a homelessness charity on Anglesey, and served as its Board Chairman from 2012 to 2015. Steve is Chairman of the Wales Rural Housing Strategic Group, which advises the Welsh Government on rural housing issues; and served on Aberystwyth Strategic Regeneration Board between 2011 and 2015. In mid 2015 he was appointed as a voluntary member of the Teifi Valley Employment Growth Zone Advisory Board by Welsh Government Minister Edwina Hart AM. Steve is a fluent Welsh speaker who is committed to providing services bilingually.

Eleri Jenkins, Director of Housing and Support

Eleri is responsible for housing management services, including support for older and vulnerable residents.

Eleri has over 27 years of experience in all aspects of housing management. She has previously worked for a local authority and housing association.

“My main tasks over the next few months will be to ensure a smooth transition from the Council to Tai Ceredigion, making sure that on day one people can pay their rent and report a repair. We are also working on the new tenants handbook, expanding this website, and on how we can improve services. I want to see tenants and leaseholders play a real role in the future to help shape how we deliver and improve housing services.”


Llyr Edwards, Director of Property Services

Llyr Edwards is the Director of Property Services, with the responsibility for maintenance and development.

He has over 20 years experience in the building and maintenance industry and previous roles have seen him work for other Housing Associations, and on projects throughout the UK building student accommodation. Llyr has a degree in Building Technology and Management, is a fluent Welsh speaker and enjoys walking in his free time.

Llyr said; “I’m pleased that we have been able to upgrade our homes to achieve the Welsh Housing Quality Standard, and look forward to undertaking further improvements to Tai Ceredigion's housing stock, and develop the portfolio further".

Kate Curran,  Director of Corporate Services

Kate Curran

Originally from Liverpool, Kate moved to Aberystwyth in  1998.   She has over 10 years of Public Sector finance experience, previously working for Ceredigion County Council.  She has worked in Tai Ceredigion's Finance Department  since stock transfer in November 2009 and is passionate about providing homes for those in need.  Kate is a Chartered Accountant and a trustee of AgeCymru Ceredigion.
