Steve Jones, Chief Executive
Steve has worked in housing for 30+ years across the UK including Anglesey, Sheffield, and in Scotland, after gaining a housing degree at Sheffield Hallam University.
He is Chief Executive of Tai Ceredigion, which he helped establish in 2009 to take over and improve the 2227 homes from Ceredigion County Council. Prior to joining Tai Ceredigion, Steve was Group Director of Community Services for Pennaf Housing Group, a large (5000+ homes) RSL in North Wales. He has recently been a voluntary Board member of Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru, and also a Board member of Community Housing Cymru. Steve is still a voluntary Board member of Digartref Ynys Mon Board, a homelessness charity on Anglesey, and served as its Board Chairman from 2012 to 2015. Steve is Chairman of the Wales Rural Housing Strategic Group, which advises the Welsh Government on rural housing issues; and served on Aberystwyth Strategic Regeneration Board between 2011 and 2015. In mid 2015 he was appointed as a voluntary member of the Teifi Valley Employment Growth Zone Advisory Board by Welsh Government Minister Edwina Hart AM. Steve is a fluent Welsh speaker who is committed to providing services bilingually.
